Our History
 

La Salicorne was born from the will of the Madelinots, to let their surroundings be discovered by others.

It was in 1985 that the Base de Plein air Maritime des Îles offered their first package stays, before choosing the original activities and the exploration of the Islands. The Caves, the Mudbath by the sea and the Nature Hikes, were created during this period.  All of the community got involved to build the ''Base''.

The services and installations were improved and in 1992, the establishment became Club Vacances «Les Îles». With the renovations we keep the outdoor activities section and developed the tourism section.

La Salicorne was put in place in 2008. The Inn preserved the mission which ensured its reputation, all to offer more comfortable rooms and a larger variety of activities and visits. We still receive clientele who wish to discover the Islands in a different way, welcoming more and more international visiters. The tools used for promotion have been refined and it is now the beginning of a new dawn for our estabishment.
